These fern-inspired mugs are made by pressing the fern leaves into the light clay after the pots are thrown. The leaves are then painstakingly painted with layers of gritstone, followed by wax resist to enhance the leaf detail. It is finished with locally source thistle ash and gritstone glaze.

Hand thrown by Rachel in her Dales studio, the mug is made from stoneware and glazed with locally sourced glazes.
