Made by Sarah Livingstone
A stunning, porcelain plaque depicting a church on a cliff towering over a quayside, with fish swimming in the swirling waves below. The piece is made by a technique called sgrafitto, where blue glaze is applied to the porcelain and carved and drawn into to reveal the clay below.
As each piece is hand drawn, they are all different, but they have Sarah Livingstone’s distinctive style.
The plaque is mounted on a handmade driftwood stand. Sarah scours the banks of the River Lune near her studio for the perfect pieces of wood to mount her artworks and each is as unique as the artwork it holds.
